So far I'm liking instagram, It feels like you spend more time on capturing the feeling of life more then a nice photo.
I've also come across a few photo apps that upload to Instagram direct like "100 cameras" till example.

Valborg has come and gone, the fires have been turned to ashes and spring is officially here and not a minute too soon.

Me and Flavia jumped on our bikes yesterday "April 30 " with a few beers , some wine and a camera to jump in on the Valborg celebrations . Not so much to really say except it was hotter then hell and it's was nice to forget the rest of the world for a few hours. 

Here's a few photos, nothing special but yet some more memories imprinted for life.

]]><![CDATA[Snail mail.....]]>Mon, 18 Apr 2011 04:31:41 -0800http://mykeyboy.weebly.com/2/post/2011/04/snail-mail.htmlOver my years I've never really given much mind to the creature they call the Snail, I'm sure I've stepped on a few, ran them over with my car and possibly even ate a few in France but over the weekend while working in my Garden "more on that some other time"  I took note to this interesting little creature who looks like he crawled out of your nose on a cold flu infested sick day.

Disgusting , yes , indeed... 
This clear, slimy creature that lurks within the soil we work so hard to keep from the floors of our homes is one fabulous little muscle after all. i've come to see the beauty in is disgusting beast, just have a look at my 29 second movie....

Cheap living within ones shell he tends to remind me of one of the backpackers we've all seen on Khao San Road in Bangkok, laid back, dressed for tropical weather and definitely not in any rush to go any where.
Anyway, While Mr Slime is working his way to the next whiskey bar me and Flavia wondered off to Rönninge BY to check out some newly born goats, a few horses and some free floating birds dancing in the wind.
It was a kick ass day with a few scents of summer visiting reminding us whats around the corner, good times!

Here's  a few photos I took during the day, I know it's way to many bird shots but I couldn't decide which ones I liked so I added them all and of course a few of our horse Burning Flame in the end :P

]]><![CDATA[Scared for life........ ]]>Sun, 03 Apr 2011 15:03:22 -0800http://mykeyboy.weebly.com/2/post/2011/04/scared-for-life.htmlJust returned from a kick ass weekend with Robin in Malmö, Sweden with a short detour to Copenhagen,Denmark to visit this years Ink festival. We meet some kick ass people, saw some great artwork and picked up some tips from good ole' Johnny boy at Zoi Tattoo about running the shop.

Theres had a few guest artists in the studio this week who really did some kick ass work. One of the artists was Liz Cook from Texas but now living in Miami, Florida. She was working on a portrait of a zombie girl when I was there. It took about 8 hours and came out super sweet which you can see in my photos. 
You can also see her in action in my video below.

I think she'll be back in Sweden later this summer so I guess it's a good time to start thinking what I can have done. If you're interested you can check out some of her work at: http://www.facebook.com/album.php?id=100001621364291&aid=10636
I also ran into good ole' Fidde who toured with me and the Sonic guys last Nov  / Dec. 
He was getting some Willie Wanka portrait tattooed on his leg, I'll have to get a photo of it once it's 100% done.

Anyway , after stuffing my fat face I felt I needed a walk so I packed up my camera bag and off I went " destination Gröna Hägern " which is where me and Flavia have our garden where we play green peace hippies and pretend to save the world from evil pesticides or something like that :P , or not !

When I got there the snow was melting pretty fast since it was so warm today (7c). it was pretty swampy so I didn't walk around so so much. 

The first thing I noticed when I arrived was our fence was knocked down by the plows, where do them fucks think there from , Brooklyn or sum thing, bastards! Anyway,  I guess we're gonna have to build a new one in a few weeks, o well.

Anyway, since it was so swampy / wet I took a short walk and found some birds to shoot and took a few photos of the area and back home I went. I guess I'll upload the photos now, heat up some more meat a balls and watch a movie or maybe even a baseball game if ones on.

]]><![CDATA[Ready,Set,Go......!]]>Thu, 24 Feb 2011 14:46:24 -0800http://mykeyboy.weebly.com/2/post/2011/02/ready-set-go.htmlWe'll, I'm back from Las Palmas, the cold weather is in full effect and life is rolling along day by day.
I had a kick ass time in Las Palmas "Canary Islands" The weather was pretty nice most of the time so we spent a lot of time walking down the beach boardwalk, taking photos, enjoying the sun and checking out the city.

We also took the bus to Maspalomas one day " south of the island " to check out the sand dunes which was pretty impressive. I can only imagine what the Sahara looks like in real life after seeing this. 

During our stay the city began the annual Carnival but it was just the start so it was lots of competitions of singing groups dressed up in crazy clothing, some dancing and things like that. The winners would be the main part of the Parade which takes place in March it seemed. They also had activities like the obstacle course race, big salsa parties in the Carnival square with live music, food and plenty of alcohol of course.

It was a pretty cool laid back atmosphere over all. 
The people in Las Palmas  love to dance " just add music " and away they go. 
Kids dancing with parents, young people with young people, single people, gay people. 

The police seemed to also be easy on everyone as well. people where coming to the festival area with bottles of liquor, ice, soda mixes and just seem to enjoy life. Over all I the island seemed to be VERY openminded.

Saturday, February 19th:
The Carnival had there annual obstacle course race which took place on one of the public beaches. Me and Flavia went out to hang on the beach a few hours before the race and then we jumped in the middle of the action to take some photos which you can see below.


The only requirement to be a part of the race was to have a costume and have a good time.  I'm happy to say that Santa won the race, I guess he needed to finish fast and return to the North Pole to prepare for xmas, good job  :)


Anyway, as I said above we took a ton of photos so I'm gonna clean up over the next week or so and post some experiences we had starting with the event below so take a seat, look at some photos and LEAVE a comment :P

]]><![CDATA[SMILE :) your on Canon camera....]]>Thu, 10 Feb 2011 13:48:57 -0800http://mykeyboy.weebly.com/2/post/2011/02/smile-your-on-canon-camera.htmlIn just a few short days we'll be flying off to Las Palmas "Gran Canary" to soak up some sun, warm up the bones and search for some good times at the 2011 Carnival. I've been wanting to go to mardi gras in New Orleans my entire life so getting the change to see the 2nd largest carnival in the world is something I'm really looking forward to.

Since this is a first in a life time change I wanted to carry around a small compact camera with some good battery life and decent quality so I decided to try out the Canon Powershot SX210 IS which I took for a small test drive tonight at the stable.

First up just a small part of the car ride over. the video is 720P and is raw except for the sound effects which I added. I just had to do it because nobody wants to hear me and Flavia talking about you behind your back :p  ha ha , sucka !

Anyway, boring clip below...
Below are a few photos I took with this little bad boy, I need to learn all the settings still since I just took it out of the box but I'm sure it's gonna be just hunky dory.

One shot is in Fisheye mode, two are in miniature mode and the rest are altered a bit in lightroom, yes I cheat because I need all the help I can get :)
